San Diego Art Institute April 1st

I’m please to announce  my inclusion in a group show at the San Diego Art Institute called Diverge/Convene: Contemporary Mixed Media opening at SDAI on April 1, 2017 from 6pm-8pm. The exhibition will run through May 15. Details here

In her recent collage work, Tara de la Garza distorts elements of nature to create new hybrid creatures. Sitting in an uneasy world between biological diversity and unchecked genetic modification, her work is a depiction of a fantasy sci/fi world without humans where nature evolves chaotically but wholeheartedly.
